Install

Prerequisites

Modded minecraft requires that the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is installed on your system. I suggest the Adoptium OpenJDK builds. This modpack requires JRE version 17. (JDK will work as well, but will have features that you won't use unless you're a Java developer)

Go to the Adoptium website and follow their instructions, or use the terminal commands bellow.

Windows winget install EclipseAdoptium.Temurin.17.JRE
MacOS brew install --cast temurin@17
Linux Use your distro's package manager

MultiMC/Prism Launcher (Recommended)

If you do not have MultiMC or Prism Launcher installed on your system, go do that.

Then, make sure you have enough RAM allocated (6+ GiB is probably good? Depends on how heavy the pack ends up being) and add your Minecraft account.

Go to "Add Instance" > "Import from Zip", then copy and paste this link into the text box and press enter. (You don't need to download it, just right-click, copy the link, and then paste it into MultiMC/Prism)

Default Launcher (Not Recommended)

If for some reason you can't/don't want to use MultiMC or Prism, it is possible to install the modpack using the base Minecraft launcher.

Assuming you already have the minecraft launcher installed, you first need to install Forge. Download the installer from this link, run it and select install client.

Once it's done, you can open the minecraft launcher and you should see a new instance, marked as 1.20.1 Forge. Launch it, and then close it once it loads the title screen.

Now, you can download our modpack files. Extract them, and then copy the contents of the "minecraft" folder to your computer's ".minecraft" folder. You probably shouldn't overwrite your files if prompted.
